With every recent web browser update, required plugin support is being eliminated. Chrome does not support most IP Cameras, plugin support has been removed from Firefox (except ESR). Firefox ESR plugin support will end soon, leaving only Internet Explorer, which is clumsy to work with and requires ActiveX, which is a security risk - that's why it is blocked on some PCs. Newer versions of IE are not guaranteed to work, either.

SmartPSS is a more complex application, with many hidden functions. For example, to show a particular camera in live view, you have to add it to your device list (not easy to find), once that is done you have to right click on it to toggle showing in liveview. Our app is more intuitve, no functions are hidden, it's fast, and perfect for just viewing your cameras and taking snapshots. Of course, for more advanced applications, Smart PSS and Blue Iris may serve that need.

IPRVM uses proprietary Dahua SDK protocols over TCP which are very light on system resources (CPU load). You can have many more video windows open with our app than with generic applications which stream using RTSP(usually via the ONVIF standard), or over an HTTP tunnel. HTTP is not used at all.

IPRVM has been tested with Windows 7 through 10, 32 and 64 bit versions.
While it will function on Windows XP, the user interface might look garbled. If your needs require Windows XP support, please submit a support request.

IPRVM is a portable application (all dedicated libraries are shipped with it), but it needs the standard Windows .NET Framework (at least version 4.0). All Microsoft modern Operating Systems (starting with Windows 7) ship with .NET installed.

IPRVM will function with most Dahua and OEM clones. A partial list is at the bottom of this FAQ. We have tested our software with most common Dahua Fixed Bullet cameras, Zoom Bullets and PTZ cameras. We also have tested on some NVRs, DVRs and HCVRs. If we tested on every available device, we could not offer this app for such an affordable price. We offer FREE download and FREE trials. Feel free to download, install and see for yourself. There are NO ads and NO spyware included in the download or the application.

You can download the app from our site without providing any information at all. You can install the app, enter your devices, and verify your devices' compatibility. However, the viewing duration will be limited. If you want to remove the time limit, trial licenses are free for 14 days.

You can request a trial from within the settings window () in the app. Trial license features are not limited in any way. The only limit is that the license will expire in 14 days.

If you decide to get a FREE trial license, the app will open our web page in your browser. We will not ask for your email address or other personal information. We will ask for your PayPal email address, and record your paypal payment information if you decide to purchase the app. We need your email address so we can offer you the discounted price for additional devices or NVR channels.

We need your PayPal address so we can insure we email the license key to you. Also, if you choose to license additional devices at the discounted cost, we need to verify you are the same person and you already have an initial license.

Should you decide the application meets your needs, you will have the opportunity to license the application for your own use, without any time limits. The paid application is IDENTICAL to the trial version, the only difference is that the paid version has no time limit.

For our introductory period, we are offering unlimited-duration paid licenses at USD 14.95 for the base install, which includes one IP camera/NVR channel, with additional cameras/channels priced at just USD 3.99 each.

IPRVM is designed to be used for your everyday use. To access your detailed camera or NVR settings, you can use almost any web browser, or for advanced users, the Config Tool application. The settings will be accessible, but most modern browsers will not show the video feed. Config Tool will also show the video feed without plugins, however will not save a unique user and password for each device if you have changed it from the default. Open the Remote IP viewer adjacent to your web browser and you can adjust your video settings as usual, and see the adjustments in real-time on RemoteIPView. Future versions of our app may include an "advanced" settings page to accomplish this. Once the camera image is adjusted to your liking, you will not need your web browser or Config Tool for everyday tasks.

The Config Tool application (or it's equalvalent) is supplied on a CD which should be bundled with your Camera/NVR. Or you can ask your supplier.
